This route is part of only National Highway (NH 223) in Andaman and Nicobar; however, here every vehicle is required to be transported through a Ferry because bridge is not available to connect these points. Ferry take 15 minutes from reaching one point to another and two ferries constantly remain available on this route to transport vehicles and people from one place to another.

Below, people can watch pictures of entry point to restricted Tribal area of 54 sq KM which belongs to Jarawa Tribe of Andaman and Nicobar. This tribe do not interact with other people and they have maintained their own separate identity through these years. From this entry point, vehicles are allowed to pass in group and at particular times of day only. Vehicles are also instructed to maintain speed limit of 40 KM/hour while crossing this area, Vehicles are not allowed to pass through this area in night unless there is very emergency. Travellers and tourists are also instructed to not feed Jarawas, not allow them to seat inside car and not take their pictures.

From Junglighat small ships and boats run for nearby Ross Island (which 10 minutes away from Port Blair by Boat ride) where British landed for first time in Andaman (presently under Indian Navy and become a famous visiting place). People easily take ship from Junglighat to Ross Island, Viper Island and Coral Island by paying small ticket fee at ticket counter.

Pictures Ship Journey Havelock Islands to Port Blair

Below, people can watch pictures of back journey from Havelock Islands to Port Blair. We took ship from Havelock Islands at 4:30 PM and it reached Port Blair at 7:00 PM. Cost of ticket for tourists in this ship is Rs 230 per person. On the way back, I got option to capture some beautiful pictures.
